Who Are We

Basalt Blossom was founded by Carrie Stambaugh and Scott Davison in 2017 to create a place of restorative wellbeing in nature. This 40-acre multi-faceted labor of love is located about ninety minutes from Portland OR in the beautiful Columbia Gorge. Since that time Basalt Blossom has well…blossomed and grown to curate so many new transformational encounters.  Lead by a dynamic new core team we are still rooted at the peaceful and beautiful setting from which we began in order to invite others for agricultural and ecological based life experiences.  In addition to this we also serve the community from our office space in Klickitat WA. Our team is growing and collaboration flourishing to provide so many new ways to cultivate this ecosystem.

What We Do

  1. Farming As Practice: We believe that PLACE is sacred. The regenerative farm at Basalt Blossom is rooted in getting connected to the earth and listening to one’s body in the process.

  1. Rural Planning and Education Services : Rural communities know that we don’t have the same access to services that those in larger towns and cities might receive. Basalt Blossom seeks to mitigate those disparities by working across multiple communities to provide services otherwise unavailable.
  • Strategic Planning:  Support your community by creating a plan and the steps to put that plan into action.
    • Community Councils
    • School Boards
    • Non-profits
  • Para Educational support: Utilize outcome based pedagogy to provide education services currently unavailable to schools.

    • Ecology
  • DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusion): We can help your school or organization by providing trained facilitators to assist in this critical conversation.
  • Therapeutic Support: Basalt Blossom seeks to make available different modalities of therapeutic support at its office in Klickitat. As these services become available we will post that information on the website.
